About lukas

Born outside of Philadelphia, PA, Lukas has always had a keen interest in the sounds of notes. He would often imagine new songs and melodies in his head as he was completing his farm chores.

He began formal musical instruction beginning at the age of 7 on the piano. A couple of years later, he discovered the guitar and its capabilities. Lukas connected with this instrument, and he felt at home playing the 6-string. As Lukas progressed in skill, he began playing in duos, ensembles, a band, and writing his own music. Although he was fearful of singing, Lukas gained the courage to try voice lessons, foreseeing his vocal cords might serve him well. Lukas began incorporating his singing regularly into performances, and his vocal capabilities continued to grow with his training in classical repertoire. He continued to expand his musical capabilities, spending time receiving instruction on the drums as well as back where he started – on the piano.

Lukas uses his wide instrumental skillset when in the studio, recording each of the instruments in his songs (guitar, bass, piano, percussion, etc.).  Lukas’ exposure to a vast number of genres has contributed to his unique style of music heard in his records and performances, blending funk, rock, jazz, folk, flamenco, and Latin music.

Recording the guitar solo for "Change" in the Studio

Lukas performs with his hand-built purple electric and his acoustic made for flamenco, folk, and everything in between. He has performed across the east coast United States, and he took his guitars across the Atlantic to Italy as well. Lukas uses his music to inspire people with each performance, looping sounds like trumpet and cellos created by his guitar and pedal board. Funky riffs, heartfelt lyrics, and more pour out from the mouth and fingers of Lukas, playing over the looped tracks previously created. Lukas continues to come up with new songs and melodies during those farm chores when he is home in PA, and now he creates a story for each song through lyrics. He will be further expanding his knowledge and network at Berklee College of Music beginning fall 2025.
